With no initial traffic or visibility, our goal was to drive organic traffic and generate leads for Land Republic through a tailored SEO strategy. Within a year, these efforts resulted in over 400,000 impressions, 10,000 clicks, and the website ranking for over 500 relevant keywords, significantly boosting their online visibility and engagement.

Backstory

Our work with Land Republic started with a whatsapp chat with one of the co-founders, Dr Victor Adegbile.
  We got on the call, and several back and forths, meetings, presentations, and discussions, website-redesign-website-taken-down cycles later, we started working with Land Republic fully in the first quarter of 2023.

Land Republic is a real estate company that specializes in buying and selling properties in Nigeria and other countries. In 2023, the company launched its website with the goal of becoming a leading online destination for property seekers with a focus on bridging the cultural age gap, so that young adults can build wealth in their prime as the population continues to grow.

Challenge

Land Republic started with a new website that had zero traffic and no online presence. The primary challenge was to build visibility, attract traffic, and generate leads for the company through organic search within the stipulated budget.

Objective

To increase the website's organic visibility, drive traffic, and achieve at least 1,000 monthly clicks within a year.

Solution: SEO Strategy

To achieve these objectives, we implemented a comprehensive SEO strategy that included the following steps:

1. Website Audit and Technical SEO Improvements:

  • Internal Audit: We conducted a thorough audit of the website to identify technical issues that could hinder its performance on search engines.
  • Site Structure Optimisation: We ensured a clear and intuitive site structure, making it easier for search engines to crawl and index the pages.

2. Keyword Research and Content Strategy:

  • Keyword Research: Conducted extensive keyword research to identify high-value keywords and phrases relevant to the real estate market.
  • Content Creation: Developed a content calendar that included blog posts, guides, and landing pages targeting specific keywords and user intent. This strategy aimed to provide value to users and establish Land Republic as a trusted source of real estate information.
  • Local SEO Focus: Created content optimized for local search terms to attract users looking for properties in specific areas, which were majorly Lagos and Nigeria, which is crucial for a real estate business.
  • Homepage Optimization: We totally revamped and optimized for SEO, integrating relevant keywords and also made the homepage more conversational and user-friendly.

3. On-Page Optimisation

  • Meta Tags and Headers: Optimised meta titles, descriptions, and headers to include target keywords and improve click-through rates (CTR).
  • Internal Linking: Established a robust internal linking strategy to help distribute link equity across the site and guide users to relevant content.

4. Off-Page SEO and Link Building:

  • Quality Backlinks: Developed a link-building strategy focused on acquiring high-quality backlinks from reputable real estate and local websites.
  • Guest Blogging and Outreach: Engaged in guest blogging and outreach to increase domain authority and drive referral traffic.

5. Monitoring and Analysis:

  • Google Analytics and Search Console: Regularly monitored performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console, allowing us to track progress and adjust strategies as needed.

Results

Within one year, our SEO efforts led to significant growth in Land Republic’s online presence:
  • Impressions: Within 12 months, the website achieved over 400k impressions and 10k clicks up from zero in 2023. This could have been more, however, we were constrained by a very tight budget.

  • Clicks: Monthly clicks increased to over 1000, with an average of 50k  impressions, demonstrating a strong rise in user engagement and interest.
  • Organic Keywords: The website began ranking for over 500 relevant keywords, many of which are high-traffic and high-conversion terms.
